Located in the heart of Three Oaks, Michigan, our building has long been part of the community. Today, it has been transformed into a modern indoor-outdoor wedding venue that still carries a strong sense of place.

Commune + Market was created around the idea of gathering—bringing people together through food, creativity, celebration, and community. Weddings are a natural extension of that spirit. The Annex offers a flexible, design-forward setting where couples can host a day that feels warm, intentional, and completely their own.

Meet Kait — the calm in the chaos and your wedding day bestie! With a sharp eye for detail, a love for timelines, and a passion for thoughtful planning, she’s here to make sure your day runs smoothly from start to finish. After nearly 10 years in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Kait returned home to Three Oaks to bring her experience as a wedding and event coordinator back to the community she’s always loved. When she’s not dreaming about weddings, you’ll find her spending time with her fiancé Nate and their golden retriever Kelso — or serving your favorite coffee at Alan Ray’s inside the Commune + Market.

Meet Tom & Jim — the creative force and flavor behind the scenes at Commune + Market. Jim brings a sharp eye for branding, design, and community storytelling, while Tom — founder of the nationally recognized specialty food company Urban Accents — is known around town as one of the “spice guys.” Together, they keep the venue buzzing with unforgettable events, meaningful community gatherings, and thoughtful details that make the space feel alive. After spending nearly 20 years in Three Oaks — and becoming full-time residents after COVID — they’ve poured their passion for creativity, hospitality, and community into making Commune + Market a place where people truly want to gather.
